Bonus Bet Laundering
After you have successfully opened "Betfair" and Bookmaker accounts and invested a required amount of money, the next step is to “laundry” the bonus bet. In fact, bookmakers award a bonus bet only after you have placed a bet of the equal sum on some sports event. Does this mean risking your own money??? Not really. Thanks to "Betfair" opportunity to place "lay" bets, we can effectively place the required first bet without risk and obtain the bonus anyway. Sounds too complicated? Example: Betfred offers a 25 £ bonus to all new clients who place the first bet in the amount of 25 £. According to the rules, the first bet should be with the odds (price) bigger than 2.0 (1/1). We open the account and deposit 30 £. Why 30 £? I usually deposit 5 £ more than needed in order not to raise suspicion that the account is opened only to receive the bonus. After that to search for the event (a football match, a horse race), the odds of which are equal (or almost equal) in "Betfair" and in the bookmaker – in this case - Betfred. In this example, we will look at a football match between "Fulham" and "Aston Villa". We will place a bet on the draw, as the odds are almost equal:
After we have found an event with equal odds, we should place two bets:
